Pumas (Puma concolor costaricensis) inhabit various areas of Costa Rica, including National Parks such as Corcovado, Guanacaste, and Santa Rosa, from sea level up to 3,300 meters above sea level. They are solitary, territorial, and nocturnal hunters that adapt to dense forests and dry areas, feeding on deer, monkeys, and other mammals.
